Akhila’s food is a saving grace for anyone who misses authentic bangalore eats. I have been lucky to taste chaats, pakoras, and many other Indian delicacies that are made with the best ingredients. The satisfaction you get when your taste buds experience the same old flavors of home in a country far far away is beyond words can explain 🙂

The best south Indian flavors in Toronto! If you are someone like me who craves for a savory snack with your chai or spicy chaats on a chilly evening, you ought to try these delicious snacks by Akhila. The flavors are so authentic it reminds you of Bangalore street food!

Its been long due since I had great homemade chats in Canada, Akhila changed that. Her magic with Indian spices took a whole new level when she put together masala puri that not only felt authentically local but also home-made.

Being away from India, my cravings for chat was satisfied when I visited Akhila’s place. The masala poori and dahi poori that she made definitely bought back memories of the yummy chats that we get back in India. The chats were rich in flavors and tasted authentic, so far the best chats I have eaten in Canada. She even mastered the presentation aspect of the chats to look better than what we get in restaurants. Well, it’s not just chats but everything she makes taste heavenly. Simple dishes like aloo curry, lasagna has something magical when its made by Akhila. She totally nailed the filter coffee she made to keep us awake post 1 am. It tastes better than what we get in authentic South Indian restaurants.

I tasted Bangalore style chaat for the first time at Akhila’s. It was Masala Puri and it tasted amazing to become one of my favorite. Akhila loves cooking for others and pours her heart into it which always results in yummy dishes.

I was invited to Akhila's chaat feasts in July and had a chance to try her homemade masala puri and dahi puri. It had the perfect balance of delicious street chaats and homely hygiene. I would highly recommend people to try her chaats, it will crave you wanting more and delight your taste buds.
